Ekahau Showcases RFID-over-Wi-Fi(TM) RTLS Safety Alerting Solution at RFID Journal Live
Ekahau's 2-way location-aware messaging and safety alerting solution improves emergency response times
RESTON, Va. -- Ekahau Inc., the high-performance leader in Real-Time Location Systems (RFID-over-Wi-Fi™), today announced that it will be demonstrating new safety-related features and messaging enhancements to its Ekahau Vision™ business intelligence (BI) platform at the RFID Journal Live conference at Booth #642. Ekahau Vision software features and functionality will leverage location-awareness to reduce emergency response times while offering a Forensics Replay™ feature to improve emergency plan effectiveness.

Some of the new Ekahau Vision features to be demonstrated include:
   - Forensics Replay™ allowing managers to re-trace steps of badge-holders and view movement histories post-emergencies
   - Customizable messaging escalation rules
   - User-defined event categorization (e.g. Code White events vs. Code Blue events)
   - Visually intuitive Ekahau Vision Messaging Tab that allows users to type their text message sent to Ekahau badge-holders
Ekahau Wi-Fi badges and Ekahau Vision software indicate the exact location of an individual during an emergency, shortening response times and preventing injuries. When badge-holders use the patent-pending pull-down switch on Ekahau badges, those in the vicinity receive the badge alert, indicating the distressed party's location on their badge LEDs. Ekahau's life safety solution enables 2-way messaging via badge LED displays and email or pop-up messages on end user computer screens and mobile devices.
Ekahau will also demonstrate Forensics Replay for Ekahau Vision software; the new feature monitors emergency plan effectiveness by providing second-by-second replays so that managers can re-trace steps and view movement history, post-emergencies.
