Dymax Oligomers and Coatings to Showcase at RadTech Chicago 2016 Conference Nebioglu and Aerykssen to Present Their Research at the Show

Torrington, Connecticut – Dymax Oligomers and Coatings will showcase a line of specialty oligomers for energy-curing applications during the RadTech Chicago Exhibition at booth 411 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel. Among the products being exhibited are its line of oligomers for 3D printing inks and LED Nail Gel Coatings, mono, di-, tri-, and multi-functional polyether urethane acrylates and methacrylates, as well as a host of unique dendritic, polybutadiene urethane acrylates, polycaprolactone urethane acrylates, polyester urethane acrylates, and methacrylates oligomers.  The company will also demonstrate light-curing equipment optimized to work seamlessly with Dymax LCM formulations for the fastest, most thorough cures.

In addition, Senior Global Director of RD Dr. Ahmet Nebioglu will give a technical presentation at the upcoming RadTech Chicago Conference May 16 to 18 in Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Nebioglu’s presentation, “New Oligomers for 3D Printing Inks”, will be held on Monday, May 16,at 8 a.m., as part of the Technical Conference Track A, 3D Printing.  Structure-property relationships in a new family of oligomers will be discussed, and the effect of oligomers on oxygen inhibition, coefficient of thermal expansion, heat distortion temperature, shrinkage, and color stability will be analyzed.

On Tuesday, May 17 at 1 p.m., Senior Chemist James Aerykssen will present how “Dendritic Oligomers for LED Curable Formulations” work. Aerykssen will discuss how these oligomers - with their hyper-branched, highly functionalized structures - are known to impart excellent properties to traditional UV formulations including increased cure speed, chemical resistance, and scratch resistance. His presentation expands on this knowledge by discussing the properties of coatings formulated with these dendritic materials when cured with an LED light source, and how suitable they are for use in LED-curable pigmented ink applications.

Dymax Corporation develops innovative oligomer, adhesive, coating, dispensing, and light-curing systems for applications in a wide range of markets.  The company’s products are perfectly matched to work seamlessly with each other, providing design engineers with tools to dramatically improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.  Major markets include aerospace, appliance, automotive, cosmetics, electronics, industrial, medical device, metal finishing, and UV-curable inks coatings.
