Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes Again Include Air Products Among the Best Performing Sustainable Companies


LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (September 13, 2006) - For the fourth consecutive year, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) include Air Products (NYSE:APD) among the world's leading sustainable companies.

Through the cooperation of Dow Jones Indexes, STOXX Limited and SAM Group, the DJSI annually reviews the economic, environmental and social performance of the world's 2,500 largest companies. Based on their assessment, asset managers in 14 countries, who manage more than $5 billion USD, are provided with objective benchmarks to guide their investment decisions. Only the top 10 percent of companies are ultimately included in the prestigious DJSI World based on their ranking against comprehensive "triple bottom line" criteria.
