Dortronics Demonstrates Strength of Product Line at ASIS 2008

New Enhancements Made to Comprehensive Product Lineup.

Atlanta, GA (September 15, 2008) - Dortronics Systems, Inc. is reaffirming their standing as the industry's leading supplier of standard and custom finish access control products by highlighting several of their product lines at ASIS 2008, including the popular ETR-Timer - Multi Function Fail-Safe Time Delay, EZ-Access Door Control Solution and 3300 Series Electric Strikes.

"The diverse combination of product features, in coordination with custom design capabilities, provides our customers increased flexibility in selecting the right product for their application," said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. "We have made it our mission is to be the industry's one-stop supplier for door control hardware."

New product announcements by Dortronics at ASIS include the ETR-Timer with fixed or adjustable time delay. The new "fail safe" ETR-Timers are powered from a 12 to 24 volt DC supply requiring only 0.05 amps. They can be triggered from either a normally open or a normally closed momentary dry contact or by switching the trigger input to the power source ground. Their unique design protects the timing circuit against spikes and surges produced by strikes and solenoids that may be operated by the timer.

The Dortronics EZ-Access Solution controls one or two doors with one reader each or one door with two readers for in/out control. Secured EZ-Prox cards, key fobs or any of the Dortronics 26 bit Wiegand keypads can be used to gain access. With a memory capacity of 2,000 active user codes for secure off-line operation, EZ-Access users can easily be programmed in or out of the system using a programming card or master code entered by the keypad. Text file history reports are viewed with standard computer programs such as Notepad or Excel, and audit trails are easily downloadable with the EZ-Logger software provided.

Also on display from Dortronics are the 3300 Series Electric Strikes. Built to hold tight with a 2,000 lb. pull test rating and a stainless steel jaw and strike plate, the versatile units convert from fail-secure to fail-safe operation without any special tools. They feature an in-line automatic power converter that accepts power from 12 to 24 volts DC, with output automatically adjusted to match strike input requirements. For added functionality, an optional latch bolt monitoring switch provides status and facilitates use in access control systems.

Dortronics' full suite of legacy products will also be on display at their ASIS booth.
