Dorken Acquires Electroplating Specialist
Grass Lake, MI -Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH (Herdecke, Germany), parent company of Dörken Corporation USA located here and manufacturers of multifunctional, micro-layer corrosion protection systems has acquired LP Oberflachentechnik GmbH (LPO). LPO develops and markets specialized products for the electroplating industry.
According to Frederick Schultz, vice president, Dörken Corporation USA, "The acquisition represents a broadening of our product portfolio into existing as well as new markets."
"This addition enables us to set a further milestone with regard to the growing innovative ability of Dörken," added managing director, Dr. Gerhard Reusmann.
The centerpiece of the LPO product range is its electroplating bath systems that meet both economic and environmental performance demands of the industry.
Dörken's global coating solutions are approved for use by and meet the standards and specifications for corrosion protection, sealants, and lubricity performance of fasteners of vehicle manufacturers and Tier One suppliers worldwide yet are environmentally friendly. Its product development programs and manufacturing operations are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and to ISO 14001.
