Dialight Announces New Head of Engineering Design for EMEA
Barry Thompson joins as Engineering Manager for industrial and hazardous area white lighting
Newmarket, UK - 4 May 2011 - Dialight (LSE: DIA.L) , an innovative global leader in LED lighting technology, today announced a senior appointment that brings its York-based design team up to full strength. Barry Thompson brings with him over 25 years worldwide experience in the design and certification of light fittings for the oil, gas and marine sectors, most recently as the Engineering Director of Hadar Lighting and before that as the Design Manager at Victor Products.
As well as designing traditional hazardous area light fittings using fluorescent or discharge lamps, Barry has also worked extensively on the design and certification of LED fittings through his involvement in major oil and gas projects in Western Australia.
