DEK Delivers on "Expect More" Message, Lands Innovation and Service Honors APEX


For the fourth straight year, DEK was selected to participate in show organizer IPC's Innovative Technology Center. This year, however, an unprecedented two products - DEK's 3D-Find-a-Part(TM) software and Cyclone(TM) understencil cleaning technology -- were chosen by the judging panel as products that deliver new, functional capability and real and relevant value to the electronics manufacturing supply chain. DEK's 3D Find-a-Part software is a unique parts verification and re-ordering system that enables 24/7 online access of customer-specific machine parts and assemblies. The program is built based on original engineering drawings, thus ensuring always up-to-date records and eliminating the need to source outdated and cumbersome printed parts manuals. The second honor was given to DEK's revolutionary understencil cleaning technology called Cyclone. With a 5-stage cleaning head, an innovative oscillating action that occurs in tandem with traverse and a fast, cassette-based paper changeover, Cyclone provides a more thorough cleaning than traditional systems while cutting cleaning time in half and reducing paper changeover to mere seconds. Displays highlighting both products were included in a special section on the APEX show floor designated for the Innovative Technology Center.
