DEK Celebrates On-Stand Success at Nepcon 2007

The DEK team are currently celebrating a successful Nepcon 2007, following the sale of a Horizon 03i machine that was exhibited on the mass imaging leader's stand.

The Horizon 03i was sold to Chesterfield-based electronics control design and manufacture specialist FAW Electronics, who used the show as an opportunity to evaluate competing technologies from a range of suppliers. FAW Electronics Managing Director Alan Wilkinson visited the DEK stand in the morning where UK Sales Manager Mark Huggins demonstrated Horizon 03i's capabilities. Representing a true Nepcon success story, Wilkinson returned to the DEK stand that afternoon to place an order.

"We were delighted to receive the order from FAW Electronics, having demonstrated Horizon 03i's ability to combine best-in-class performance with the highest possible value," explains Huggins. "However, the sale also demonstrated the value of shows like Nepcon, delivering an effective 'shop window' for products that people wouldn't necessarily get the opportunity to see in action outside of the exhibition. Providing a great environment for visitors to find out why DEK customers Expect More, Nepcon 2007 was a positive experience for the entire on-stand team."

Horizon 03i is an ideal platform for manufacturers looking to transition to in-line production, with rapid set-up and changeover capabilities providing optimal conditions for prototyping and pre-production. In addition to this core capability, Horizon 03i is compatible with a range of advanced DEK technologies including the HawkEye(TM) high speed print verification system. The combination of a robust, reliable machine platform with advanced technologies such as HawkEye certainly convinced the team from FAW Electronics and sealed a successful Nepcon experience for DEK.

FAW Electronics Managing Director Alan Wilkinson comments: "FAW Electronics chose DEK as its preferred supplier of this PCB screen printing machine, as DEK is a well known brand within the industry and their engineering quality is very impressive. For FAW Electronics, this machine replaces current equipment and allows for faster screen printing of its PCBs and also compliments its high-tech Surface Mount Technology equipment. Remaining at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, processes and systems, the purchase of this machine was a natural progression for FAW Electronics as the company is committed to developing its manufacturing capacity; an immediate requirement in light of recent new business wins and a rapidly growing interest in the t-mac product line."
