PALO ALTO, Calif. –Â The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the procurement organization for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), has chosen MetricStream, in partnership with the Cambio Consulting Group, to provide an integrated Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solution.
The solution, which will support up to 500 enterprise-wide users, will enable DLA to unify all risk and compliance policies, processes, controls, systems, and data on a single platform. In doing so, the company will be able to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their GRC program, and establish a complete, top-level view of its risk and compliance posture.
Headquartered in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, DLA is the largest logistics combat support agency in the DoD. The agency provides worldwide logistics support at all times to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, other federal agencies, and combined and allied forces. The Agency employs nearly 27,000 people, manages nine supply chains, and operates in 48 states and 28 countries.
The increasing frequency of audits and complex regulatory compliance requirements prompted the organization to look for a comprehensive GRC solution that would link together and streamline risk assessments and analyses, control monitoring and testing, policy management, compliance with federal directives, issue management, and reporting.
The solution will help DLA create a sound and integrated risk and control management framework where each risk is mapped to the corresponding regulations, policies, controls, processes, and business entities for greater transparency and accountability. Through advanced methodologies and algorithms, the solution will enable a top-down approach to risk assessment and ranking, with capabilities to visualize and analyze the likelihood and impact of risks.
The solution will also automate control assessments, trigger alerts for control failures, and help manage corrective actions. Powerful dashboards and reports will facilitate close monitoring of each process at the corporate, business group, business unit, and reporting unit levels.
The solution will enable DLA to adopt a centralized and more efficient approach to the development, maintenance, and communication of policies, procedures, and compliance content across the enterprise. Unique inbuilt connectors will interface with DLA's existing systems and libraries to capture, track, and report relevant information.
