Deadline Alert: "30 Under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars" Nominations Due July 31
ThomasNet.com and ISM to Honor 30 Outstanding Millennials in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management
New York, NY and Tempe, AZ — If you want to recognize a rising star in purchasing/supply chain management, now is the time to act! ThomasNet® and Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®) today issued a reminder that the deadline for their "30 Under 30" Rising Supply Chain Stars Recognition Program is just a month away. All nominations must be submitted online by July 31, 2014.
In an industry first, ThomasNet and ISM launched the program to spotlight supply chain's young "rock stars" and encourage them to build lifetime careers in the profession. They joined forces at a pivotal moment for the industry, which is experiencing a generational shift and needs to attract new talent to maintain its strength. The Baby Boomers who are a major part of the talent pool are retiring, and Millennials (18-32) are coming in. By 2025, the current Millennial generation will make up about 75 percent of the workplace.
The recognition program rewards those young supply chain professionals who have already distinguished themselves through their innovation, collaboration, and leadership, helping their organizations and the industry at large. Each of these young luminaries will receive complimentary membership in ISM for one year. One “megawatt” professional from the group, along with their nominator will receive an all-expense paid trip to ISM2015 to be held May 3-6 in Phoenix, Arizona.
