DE-STA-CO to Bring Fresh Perspective to EASTEC 2007 with Horizontal Clamping Series

Auburn Hills, Michigan, March 1, 2007 - DE-STA-CO's booth at EASTEC 2007 will feature the Horizontal Handle Hold-Down Action Clamps, the company's latest generation of manual toggle clamps. Also located in booth #5854 will be the DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus manual clamps, as well as DE-STA-CO Robohand's RZA Table-Top Linear Thruster Slide and DPW Parallel Gripper. EASTEC 2007 Exposition will be held from May 22-24 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

The DPW Parallel Gripper Series from DE-STA-CO Robohand features DIRECTCONNECT(TM) technology and offers mounting patterns in three sizes with two strokes per size. As with all products incorporating DIRECTCONNECT, the mounting patterns in this series allows the components to be mounted directly to other modular automation products without adapter plates, saving time, weight and money. The wide body parallel grippers also come with a wide range of options and accessories, including multiple air port locations, a shaft wiper option, and magneto-resistive or inductive sensors.

The 2013, 2017, 2027, and 2037 series of DE-STA-CO's Horizontal Handle Hold-Down Action Clamps offer an average of twice the holding capacity of DE-STA-CO's legacy models in the same envelope. Maximum holding capacity of the clamps ranges from 295 lbs. to 1,680 lbs., ensuring applicability across a wide range of operational demands. Additionally, the low pivot points featured on the Horizontal Handle Hold-Down Action Clamps provide for a perpendicular clamping force. The straight downward action helps to prevent movement of the workpiece in the fixture.

Visitors to booth #5854 will also see the DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus manual clamps. Designed with maximum safety and ergonomic benefit as the foundation, DE-STA-CO® Toggle Lock Plus clamps help to maintain the over-center toggle position in applications where movement or vibrations are likely. The innovative clamp series also features bushings at major pivot points for longer life, stop point locations for added durability, and the elimination of pinch points for added safety.

Also featured at EASTEC 2007 will be the DE-STA-CO Robohand's RZA Table-Top Linear Thruster Slide, a precision slide ideal for high-speed applications requiring precise movement and accuracy. The slide features a recirculating ball bearing guidance system that offers friction free, silent motion, as well as longer bearings to maintain load capacity over the full length of strokes. Additionally, the RZA Table-Top Linear Thruster Slide is capable of mounting and operating in any orientation and is available in five bore sizes.
