Davis-Standard, LLC at Chinaplas 2010

(Fulton, N.Y.)--Davis-Standard's exhibit at Chinaplas 2010, Booth #E1D47, will feature a team of flexible packaging, converting and extrusion experts available to discuss the company's vast product offering. Information from the company's Converting Systems and Extrusion Systems groups will be available including cast film, extrusion lamination, fabric coating, liquid coating and laminating, blown film, blow molding, pelletizing, tubing and sheet product lines.

Of special interest to the Chinese market is Davis-Standard's recent agreement with NO.EL® srl of Italy. Davis-Standard and NO.EL jointly supply inline coreless stretch film systems to the converting industry, offering high-speed coreless and pre-stretch film systems in widths up to 3 meters (120 inches). Equipment solutions for inline coreless and thin core winding of conventional stretch film as well as inline pre-stretching are available. Using this equipment, processors can manufacture multiple rolls of slit film using bleed-trim or bleed-less technologies. NO.EL's patented inline coreless winders enable processors to produce conventional cast stretch film for hand and/or machine wrap at speeds up to 700 meters per minute (2,240 feet per minute) in widths from 1 to 3 meters (40 to 120 inches). This is essential for pre-stretch film applications to produce thinner films of 7 to 8 microns, and to ensure the line's potential extrusion capacity without sacrificing output.

Other film equipment includes machinery for hygienic, oxygen barrier, optical, medical and CPP films. Wide fabric coating/laminating machines are engineered for house wrap, tarpaulins, temporary shelters and geomembrane applications. Liquid coating and laminating machines feature patented pressurized gravure head (PGH) technology for window protection and optical films, release and adhesive tapes, and special laminated products that add value to commodity-oriented films. High quality blown film systems for lamination, heavy-duty sacks, agricultural film, silage wrap and geomembranes are available. Davis-Standard also offers unique solutions for photovoltaic composites including back sheet, PV coated substrates, encapsulation and fluropolymer surface protection films.

In the area of extrusion, Davis-Standard's sheet, foam and medical tubing technology continues to generate much interest in China. The company's XP Express® roll stand system is versatile, cost-effective and available for fast delivery. It is designed for nearly every sheet and packaging application, and has capabilities for lamination, coating, auxiliary cooling, slitting and trimming, embossing and protective film. Davis-Standard's foam systems are used in R&D and production applications by leading companies in the packaging, automotive, industrial, and graphic arts industries. Single screw systems, single screw tandem lines, twin screw tandem lines and in-line foam systems are available. Medical tubing systems are equipped for a range of tubing applications including single and multi-lumen, IV catheter, corrugated drainage, integrated bump tubing systems and multi-layer medical tubing. These systems can process a variety of polymers as well as engineering resins and silicone.
