Davis-Standard, LLC Announces Promotions


(Pawcatuck, Conn.)-The Extrusion Systems Group of Davis-Standard, LLC announces the following promotions of employees to Vice President.

Albert Chrisbacher has been promoted to Vice President - Sheet and Foam Systems. Chrisbacher will be responsible for all sales and product management activities related to Davis-Standard sheet and foam systems. He joined Davis-Standard in 1992 as Product Manager of Film. He was promoted to Business Area Manager of Sheet Extrusion Systems and Compounding Extrusion Systems, then Business Director of the Sheet, Foam, Recycle and Compounding groups. Chrisbacher has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Haven in New Haven, Connecticut.

John Christiano has been promoted to Vice President - Process Technology. Christiano will be responsible for process engineering support for the Extrusion Systems group and Davis-Standard's Technical Center in Pawcatuck, Connecticut, which supports single screw, twin screw, and elastomer extrusion technology. He joined Davis-Standard in 1991 as a Process Consultant, eventually becoming a Senior Process Consultant and then Director of Extrusion Process Technology. He has Bachelor and Master Degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, and recently received a Masters Degree in Management Science from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Christiano holds several patents on single screw extruder screw design and has published numerous papers in single barrier screw and co-rotating twin screw extrusion.

Joseph Genovese, Jr. has been promoted to Vice President - Human Resources. Genovese is a 19-year veteran of the company, having started as Director of Human Resources with the Egan Machinery Division of John Brown, which was acquired by Davis-Standard in 1994. He became Director of Human Resources, New Jersey and International Operations in 1998; and Director, Human Resources, Davis-Standard Corporation in 2002. Genovese has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Marshall University in West Virginia, and a Masters of Science in Industrial Relations (MSIR) from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.

Michael Newhall has been promoted to Vice President - Manufacturing. Newhall joined Davis-Standard in 1998 as Manufacturing Manager, and was then promoted to Director of Manufacturing. He completed his Bachelors Degree at Plattsburgh State University, New York, and has a Masters Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. Newhall will be responsible for all manufacturing activities at the Pawcatuck, Connecticut, plant.

Stephen P. H. Rachlis has been promoted to Vice President and General Counsel for Davis-Standard, LLC. Rachlis graduated from Case Western Reserve Law School in 1973 and was admitted to the bar in New York in 1974. He has worked for clients in the converting and extrusion industries ever since. He did his first work for the Black Clawson Company as associate at the New York City law firm of Wachtell, Manheim, & Grouf in 1973 and became a partner in that firm in 1978. Later, he continued to represent Black Clawson as a partner in the New York City law firm of Braunschweig, Rachlis, Fishman & Raymond. Rachlis was hired as General Counsel of Davis-Standard, LCC in 2005.

John Radovich has been promoted to Vice President - Engineering, responsible for all engineering activities including mechanical and electrical design. Radovich has been with Davis-Standard over 15 years in the positions of Chief Engineer, Manager of Extruder Design Technology, and then Director of Extruder Design Technology. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Haven in New Haven, Connecticut.

Jerry Warren has been promoted to Vice President - Aftermarket. Warren joined Davis-Standard last year after six years as a Managing Partner with New Harbour, Inc. in Fall River, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Warren will be responsible for all sales and product management activities related to Davis-Standard aftermarket business, including parts, rebuilds and upgrades.

Wendell Whipple has been promoted to Vice President - Pipe & Profile Systems. Whipple started with Davis-Standard in 1977 on the company's assembly floor as a Machine Assembler. He also worked in sales and service in the Extrusion Technical Services department, then advanced in the pipe and profile department as a Sales Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer, Systems Sales Engineer, and Business Area Manager. Whipple will be responsible for all sales and product management activities related to pipe and profile business.
