David Abe Named Vice President of Sales, Western Zone, for ESAB

Florence, SC - ESAB Welding & Cutting Products named David Abe to the position of vice president of sales, Western Zone, effective October 15, 2007. Mr. Abe will oversee all sales activities on the western half of the United States. He will be relocating from Atlanta to the Denver area in the near future.
Mr. Abe holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He has 28 years of management experience and spent most of his career in the welding industry with Harris Calorific, a division of the Lincoln Electric Company, focused on gas apparatus and plasma products. Most recently Mr. Abe was associated with the pressure and temperature instrumentation business, serving as executive vice president, sales and marketing, for WIKA Instrument Corporation in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
