CyberDefender Appoints Former ReachLocal Executive as SVP of Technology


Ph.D. Brings More Than 20 Years Experience in eCommerce,
Operations and IT Management

LOS ANGELES, June 22, 2011 -- CyberDefender(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:CYDE), a leading provider of remote technical support services and Internet security software and utilities, today announced that Kamran Izadpanah, Ph.D., has joined the Company's management team as senior vice president of technology.

Dr. Izadpanah will be responsible for managing all of CyberDefender's technology teams including eCommerce, product, operations and information technology management. Leveraging his experience in software development, site architecture and display advertising, Dr.
Izadpanah will focus on streamlining and improving the planning and interoperability of the product suites. He will report to the company's Chief Operating Officer, Igor Barash.

Dr. Izadpanah comes to CyberDefender with over 20 years of experience in product development, technical innovation and expertise in managing and interfacing between technical and business populations. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Software Development at ReachLocal Inc. (Nasdaq:RLOC), where he was responsible for improving the release and tracking systems, creating simultaneous releases in multiple international sites, the company's compliance with Payment Card Industry guidelines, assisting in the filing of applications for patents, and other matters.

Before joining ReachLocal, Dr. Izadpanah served as the vice president of technology and architecture at the Los Angeles Times, Interactive Division, where he was responsible for revamping the architecture of the company's online presence and delivering new web based products to the market. Previously, he served as the executive director of software development at Edmunds.com, Inc., where his job responsibilities included re-engineering the publishing system, advertising system and data operations feeding three consumer websites, various syndications and a multitude of automotive retail partners.

Previously, Dr. Izadpanah served as vice president of engineering and product development with J2 Global Communications.

Dr. Izadpanah earned his MBA degree from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Washington University.
