More than 7,800 Customers Select RSA's Solutions for Business Acceleration in the Second Quarter; Successes Include Agreements with Leading Japanese Banks, Demonstrating Global Momentum in Consumer Protection

RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), today announced that more than 7,800 customers, including approximately 1,500 new customers, selected RSA® solutions in the second quarter of 2007. RSA's technology, business and industry solutions help customers put critical information into the hands of the people who need it, while protecting that information against unauthorized access.

As of June 30, 2007, more than 27,500 organizations worldwide have selected the company's award-winning line of solutions, designed to help secure and leverage critical information wherever it resides in the enterprise. RSA's broad family of information-centric security solutions allow customers to: secure critical data wherever it resides; enable secure, anytime, anywhere access to corporate resources for employees; open internal systems to trusted partners through secure partner access solutions; offer self-service channels; prevent fraud and enhance consumer confidence through secure customer access and; manage security information for regulatory compliance.

Customer successes for the second quarter of 2007 included agreements with six leading Japanese financial institutions who by taking a proactive approach to protecting against online threats hope to broaden customer adoption of online banking in order to reduce costs, increase revenue and improve overall customer satisfaction. The financial institutions include:

The Bank of Fukuoka, one of the largest regional banks in Fukuoka, Japan, will offer online banking customers RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication technology to deliver a more secure online user experience.

The Bank of Yokohama, the largest regional bank in Yokohama, Japan selected RSA SecurID to provide online banking customers an easy-to-use security solution that helps protect both identities and personal assets.

Mizuho Bank, one of Japan's largest banks with over 500 branches located worldwide, has selected RSA's proven FraudAction(TM) service in order to fight phishing, pharming and other types of online attacks.

Nomura Securities, the oldest and one of the largest brokerage firms in Japan founded in 1925, has selected RSA FraudAction to provide enhanced security to its customers.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, one of the largest banks in Japan, selected the RSA FraudAction anti-phishing and anti-pharming service that is engineered to help protect its customers from online fraud by preventing, identifying, and disrupting the activities that put customers and the Bank at financial risk. In early 2006, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation became the first financial institution in Japan to offer RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology to online banking customers as part of the bank's One's Direct Internet banking service.Additional

Q2 2007 successes include:

Central Depository Company of Pakistan Ltd, whose aim is to operate as a central securities depository on behalf of the financial services industry in Pakistan, selected the RSA® SecurID authentication solution. CDC customers will use the RSA SecurID solution to authenticate themselves and gain access to the CDC network and their depository account details.

China Minmetals Corporation, China's largest producing and trading group of metals, minerals and electrical products, has selected RSA SecurID two-factor authentication solution to help positively identify employees and users before they interact with mission-critical data and applications.

Previously announced customer the Fresno Association of Realtors® launched Rapattoni Secure Logon with Single Sign-On for its multiple listing service (MLS). The rollout for the more than 4,500 Fresno, California MLS participants occurred in May 2007.

The Greater Springfield Board of Realtors® selected RSA SecurID technology, as part of the Rappatoni Secure Logon service with Single Sign-On (SSO), to provide stronger security for its MLS, serving nearly 3,000 real estate professionals in the Springfield, Missouri, area. The Rapattoni Secure Logon service increases data security by ensuring that only authorized users can access the MLS.

Harris, an integrated financial service organization providing more than 1 million personal, business and corporate clients with banking, lending, investing and wealth management solutions, has selected the RSA® Adaptive Authentication solution to provide additional security enhancements to its online banking customers. The community banking network of Harris includes more than 230 locations throughout Chicago and Indiana with more than 580 ATMs network-wide. RSA's technology is designed to deliver strong user-centric authentication and behind-the-scenes protection for Harris customers.

Quattro, a new multiple listing database accessible by more than 42,000 real estate professionals in Northern California, was launched in April 2007. Combining information from three MLSs (previously announced customers: the San Francisco Association of REALTORS®, MetroList Services, Inc., and Bay Area Real Estate Information Services, Inc.) into one database, Quattro is a one-stop source of real-time real estate listing data and provides subscribers with MLS content for fifteen California counties, with the ability to expand beyond the current geographic region. Rapattoni Corporation, the MLS system provider for BAREIS, MetroList and SFAR, is hosting the Quattro site which members of all three multiple listing services can access through a single sign-on portal. RSA SecurID technology, provided through Rapattoni Secure Logon, helps eliminate the potential for account sharing and ID theft, and ensures that only members in good standing can enter the MLS site, while a single sign-on identity portal provides significant convenience for agents. Quattro currently serves a population of over 5.6 million people and stretches from the San Francisco Bay, through the Northern California Wine Country and Central Valley, to the crest of the Sierra Mountains.

The REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach will also install the Rapattoni Secure Logon authentication service with Single Sign-On (SSO) for its MLS. The association, which serves more than 7,000 real estate professionals in and around Fort Myers, Florida, will launch Secure Logon in August 2007.

The Southwest Multiple Listing Service, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Board of Realtors®, signed an agreement to install Rapattoni MLS and Secure Logon, leveraging RSA SecurID technology, for its 4,600 MLS participants. The Albuquerque, New Mexico association, which has used Rapattoni's association management software since 1995, will operate the full suite of Rapattoni products following this deployment. Both services will launch in September 2007.

Tech Data Corporation, a leading distributor of IT products with more than 90,000 customers in over 100 countries, is a major distributor of RSA products and continued to make investments in the second quarter of 2007.

During Q2 2007, RSA also announced an expanded relationship with EarthLink, and that it will support Lockheed Martin on the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)'s Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program.
