VANCOUVER, - Avcorp Industries Inc. (TSX: AVP) (the "Company" or "Avcorp") The Company is providing an update on merger and acquisition opportunities that are currently being explored. The Company has been in discussions with arm's length parties for the possible acquisition of certain business units which are complimentary to the Company's current aerospace operations and customers, in particular, with respect to the supply of components and subassemblies for major aircraft production lines. Although discussions are in advanced stages, neither a definitive agreement has been entered into nor has any agreement in principal been reached with respect to a possible acquisition. Accordingly there can be no assurance that any agreement will be entered into pertaining to an acquisition.
