CoorsTek Expands Presence in Texas
A brand new 30,000-square-foot facility will locally serve the company's Houston-area oil & gas customers
Houston, Texas, March 8, 2007 - CoorsTek, Inc., a long-standing provider of industrial pump, valve, seal, and surge protection components and equipment for the energy and petrochemical industries, today formally announced their expansion into the Houston, Texas area, citing superior customer support as their primary goal.
The 30,000-square-foot facility, located at 1120 Goodnight Trail near Houston's Intercontinental Airport and several of its existing customers, will house state-of-the-art machining, grinding, thermal spray coating, and light assembly capabilities. Services will include rapid-turn, build-to-print and design-to-requirement components.
The facility will also support local JIT delivery with a significant stock of frequently used components including pulsation dampening and stabilizing equipment, pump plungers, centrifugal pump components, pump packing, valves, Teflon® seals, ceramic hard-face seals, severe-wear materials, and other custom components for the energy and petrochemical sector. Materials employed will include zirconia, alumina, silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, specialty metals, fluoropolymers, and other hybrid compounds. CoorsTek designed this facility specifically to provide unparalleled 24-7 service and support for critical-need customers in the region.

CoorsTek expects to open the newest of their 17 worldwide facilities in April, 2007 and will hold an invitation-only grand opening during the Offshore Technology Conference, April 30 through May 3, 2007.
