Cooper Power Tools Recognized as aTop Supplier by Chrysler de Mexico


LEXINGTON, S.C., September 7, 2007 - Cooper Power Tools has been awarded Chrysler de Mexico's Supplier Award, becoming the first power tools supplier in the history of this annual recognition.

Chrysler honored Cooper Power Tools for its in-plant service support and the performance of its industrial tools, particularly its Automated Systems product line, which provides customized solutions including training, service and support. The Automated Systems line designs and builds custom engineered solutions to meet industry's needs for flexible automation. The Automated Systems' multi-spindle fastening equipment has increased Chrysler de Mexico's productivity.

Annually, Chrysler's three plants in Mexico evaluate all of their suppliers on many aspects and levels of business, including product quality, on-time delivery, plant savings, and service and support. Awards were presented to 18 suppliers for 2006.

The award was presented during a ceremony on August 9 at the Chrysler Mexico corporate offices in Santa Fe, Mexico City. Along with Tomas Leal, Cooper Power Tools representatives Robert Davies (Division President) and Jose Luis Soto (Manager, Aftermarket Service Mexico) were on hand to receive the plaque from Chrysler thanking the company for its support and collaboration in the business developed during 2006.
