Conectec RF Changes Name to Conectec International to Reflect Manufacturer's Global Capabilities

Conectec RF brand will continue for manufacturer's RF connector,
coax, and antenna products
Hoffman Estates - September 8, 2008 - With its global footprint growing, Conectec RF, a
leading manufacturer of RF cables and connectors, has changed its name to Conectec
International.
The company has been operating in a global environment since it opened its doors in 1996. But
as its international presence has grown, company leadership realized a name change was needed
to accurately reflect Conectec's global reach as well as its increased catalog and custom
capabilities.
"Conectec RF has been a significant name for us, in that it shows our customer base how
specialized we are in our environment," company President Bob Curran said. "However, it's
limiting at the same time, because we have grown and are supporting a lot more than traditional
RF products."
Today, the company conducts business in more than 12 countries on four continents, providing a
variety of customized products, including RF connectors, coax cable assemblies, coax cable,
harnesses, board-to-board interconnect and antennas.
"In today's global environment, we've found a need to increase our presence," Curran said. "A
lot of our customers are globalin nature now, and they need international support.
"They need to know that we're an international organization that can support their needs in other
regions. For instance, we can manufacture a part in Asia and ship it directly to that region. Or we
can design and develop a product in Europe and have it made in the United States or made in
Asia. We can support a global market that way."
Conectec RF will remain a brand of Conectec International, representing the company's line of
RF connector, coax and antenna products. All other products, including harnesses and board-toboard
connectors, will fall under the Conectec International umbrella.
"It's a better representation of who we are," Chief Financial Officer Gus Antonakos said of the
company's new name. "Today, we're not just an RF-specialized manufacturer and assembler
anymore."
