ComNet Names New Business Development VP
Adds Bruce Berman to Develop New Markets for ComNet Products
Danbury, CT. January 22, 2009, Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, doing business as ComNet(TM), a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has hired Bruce M. Berman to be the company's Vice President of New Business Development. Bruce will be responsible for the company's entry into new markets. Markets such as factory automation & industrial control, electric power transmission and distribution, and transportation and infrastructure provide opportunities that hold great potential for fiber optic transmission products and Berman will be charged with focusing the ComNet product sales within them. Bruce will report directly to George Lichtblau, the ComNet Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Berman held the role of Transportation/ITS & Infrastructure Sales Manager for the former IFS before it was absorbed into GE Security. Bruce has over 20 years of experience in the fiber optic transmission equipment and ITS and infrastructure markets and his knowledge of the use of fiber optic and network communication products within the infrastructure and ITS market is unsurpassed.
Berman will be responsible for directing and promoting the application of ComNet products in markets that have that can benefit from their use. In many cases he will be tasked with educating System Designers and customers on all levels about the benefits ComNet products and technology bring to their projects.
