COE Press Equipment Ships First of Four Straighteners/Reels to Metal Flow


Sterling Heights, Mich.- COE Press Equipment announced that it has shipped the first of four orders for new straightener/reel combinations to Metal Flow (Holland, Mich.), a provider of deep drawn stamped components to the automotive industry. Each of the sets consists of a COE model 350, 18-in. power straightener and a heavy-duty 18-in. coil reel with 8,000-lb. capacity. The straighteners can handle steel with 40,000 PSI yield in widths from .030-in. up to .250-in. thick, depending upon the width of the coil stock. The equipment has a payoff rate of up to 95 FPM.



Two of the sets are being used to replace existing, competitor equipment and two will be paired with new AIDA press lines that Metal Flow is installing. The next three orders are scheduled to ship in late 2015, and February and April 2016. All of the orders feature centralized controls for the straightener and reel combination.
