Clear View Bag Increases Plant Capacity with New Equipment and New Employees
Improved delivery times and low minimums offered by Custom Plastic Bag Manufacturer
Clear View Bag, a custom printed plastic bag manufacturer, has just completed increasing plant capacity through streamlined procedures, hiring additional employees and investing in equipment. The increased capacity has resulted in 25% improvement in general lead-times.
In the last 18 months, two new slitter/rewinder machines were purchased and installed and a print press was refurbished and is now fully operational. Other initiatives to improve lead times for custom bag orders included increasing raw inventory levels, hiring a new art/graphics person, and refurbishing two machines with enhanced speeds of 25%.
“All of these efforts were undertaken to operate at 80% capacity to allow items in need of extremely fast turn-around to seamlessly be custom manufactured without affecting previously issued lead-times,” said Trent Romer, Vice President. We have been operating the last 9 months achieving a three week or less lead-time for custom manufactured items. With all aspects of the process now in place, Clear View will push for faster lead-times for its clients”, Romer said.
