Clean Harbors Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility Recertified by OSHA

WAYNOKA, OK - Clean Harbors, North America's leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services, has received notice that the Lone Mountain Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) located here has been recertified under the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) at the Star Level.

VPP is a comprehensive health and safety process that requires employee involvement, management support, and cooperation with OSHA. Recipients demonstrate a strong management and employee safety culture that ensures a safe and healthful workplace environment, with occupational injury and illness incidence rates below the state and national averages for companies within the same industry classification.

The Waynoka facility, operating since 1979, was the first commercial TSDF in the country to achieve VPP status when it received Star certification in 2005. This latest recertification is the second for the facility.
