Clean Harbors Recognized as a Top Canadian Energy Services Company by Alberta Oil Magazine
Ranked in top 20 on strength of increased revenue.
CALGARY, ABÂ – Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services, has for the second consecutive year, achieved a top ranking among energy services companies in Canada by Alberta Oil magazine. Clean Harbors Canada’s strong showing in the magazine’s Energy Service 50 revenue ranking was bolstered by double-digit revenue growth. It is also listed among the top 10 largest employers.
The revenue and employment rankings, compiled by the magazine with the assistance of Deloitte, are strong showings for the company. Clean Harbors has been aggressively expanding its Canadian oilfield operations since 2009 through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth. Today, Clean Harbors Canada operations span seven provinces, supported by more than 80 locations and 4,300+ employees.
In 2012, Clean Harbors made significant investments in Canada in three areas: comprehensive safety and training programs; employee training, career development and cross training; and asset management technologies. The company also added to its environmental, industrial and lodging capabilities and, through its purchase of Safety-Kleen, introduced used oil recycling and re-refining to its service offerings.
