CIVCO to Exhibit Innovative Patient Positioning & Immobilization Solutions at AAPM 2015

CORALVILLE, Iowa, – CIVCO Medical Solutions, the leading provider of comprehensive motion management solutions for radiation oncology, will showcase new patient positioning and immobilization innovations in booth #1421 to attendees of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA, July 12 - 16.

CIVCO's new product introductions include advanced patient positioning options for SBRT treatment with the Body Pro-Lok ONE™ solution, an interface with the Protura™ Robotic Patient Positioning System, Universal Couchtop™ Long Extension solutions, and the trUpoint ARCH™ SRS/SRT System for MR simulation. The company's team of motion management experts will demonstrate how these and many other newly released treatment solutions simplify the clinician's workday, and improve workflow and efficiency between imaging and treatment.

 • Body Pro-Lok ONE SBRT ImmobilizationThe new Body Pro-Lok ONE SBRT Immobilization System allows for customized setups utilizing ONE bridge versus three for varying patient sizes. This advanced design features lateral and tilting offset and variable height adjustment that expands and contracts for increased Linac clearance and patients that have natural rotation. The bridge secures directly to the Universal Couchtop, eliminating the need for overlays and ensuring equivalent setups between CT and treatment.

 • Protura Robotic Patient Positioning SystemProtura software now provides an interface solution for Varian users with MOSAIQ Record and Verify systems. The new interface automatically opens patient information in Protura software when the patient is opened in MOSAIQ, and automatically loads patient shift data to match Varian's On-Board Imager (OBI) kV imaging system. Protura remotely repositions patients with robotic 6 degrees of freedom giving users the ability to ensure sub-millimeter positioning accuracy from outside the treatment room. Combined with CIVCO's comprehensive motion management solutions, Protura is optimized to handle the rigors of a busy clinic while improving efficiency and throughput. The Protura and Varian software interface will be demonstrated in the CIVCO booth throughout the meeting.

 • Universal Couchtop Long ExtensionSeveral new additions have been released to the Universal Couchtop Long Extension family including Kevlar, Grid and Embedded Wires solutions. Universal Couchtop provides seamless imaging and treatment planning with dosimetrically matched couchtops that feature a large, junction-free artifact-free treatment area. The unique profile of the Universal Couchtop allows CIVCO's Body Pro-Lok ONE bridge to attach directly to the couchtop, enabling a seamlessly integrated SBRT immobilization platform.

 • trUpoint ARCH SRS/SRT SystemtrUpoint ARCH has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for MR environments, making it the only option for centers using MR simulation for SRS/SRT cases. trUpoint ARCH improves the patient's experience with a non-invasive, accurate, repeatable and comfortable hold, with less than 1 mm of patient movement during intrafraction immobilization testing.
