Chomerics Division of Parker Hannifin Corp. Announces ISO 14001:2004 Certification for Webster Plastics

WOBURN, Mass., July 30 / -- Chomerics Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE:PH) announced the ISO 14001:2004 certification of its Webster Plastics business unit. Webster Plastics, located in Fairport, New York, is a full-service custom plastic injection molding company operating a 75,000 sq. ft. facility housing 45 injection molding machines and a variety of secondary operations.
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognized standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). It provides guidance on how to manage the environmental aspects of a company's activities, products and services more effectively, taking into consideration environmental protection, pollution prevention and socioeconomic needs.
"Compliance with ISO 14001:2004 provides Webster Plastics with more efficient use of energy and resources, leading to reduced costs and environmental impact over time. Webster Plastics provides engineered custom plastic injection molding solutions for transportation, medical, telecom, consumer and military applications. The automotive industry represents a significant percentage of its international customer base and includes applications such as transmission components, engine housings, cylinder head covers, mechanical and electrical components.
