Checker Industries Expands Contract Shop
Checker Industries; Div. of Precision Finishing Inc. has seen steady growth and success over the last several years and we are now committing to expanding our contract shop capabilities. Much of this growth has been from Western Pennsylvania and Ohio. To accommodate this demand we are increasing our vibratory finishing department in Pittsburgh. This will assist in reducing freight costs and add additional capacities for expansion of our Accelerated Surface Finishing process.
In order to facilitate this growth, Dean Bell is relocating to Pittsburgh to assist in running this expanded job shop. He is very well versed in ASF and more than capable of process development of the vibratory process.
In addition, Brad McLeod joined the Checker Industries Sales team in November after a 12 month internship at Precision Finishing Inc. His goal is to expand our job shop accounts in the Pittsburgh area in addition to assisting customers with their vibratory deburring and blasting solutions.
This expansion will provide better service and solutions to the powdered metal industry in Northwestern PA. We will also be implementing a pickup and delivery service for customers in this region for either contract work or supplies.
