Charles Desportes Joins Aquatech as Director of Thermal Desalination


PITTSBURGH, PA, September 19, 2007 - Aquatech International Corporation announces that Charles Desportes has joined as Director of Thermal Desalination. Mr. Desportes was formerly the Technical Director of Entropie, specializing in the design of water desalination systems using MED thermal technology.

An acknowledged expert in the field of thermal desalination, Mr. Desportes played a pivotal role in key technological developments which have made MED (Multiple-Effect Distillation) a growing trend and technology of choice for industrial and infrastructure water desalination globally. In addition to his engineering accomplishments, Mr. Desportes is also widely esteemed for various training courses and presentations that have demonstrated the value proposition of MED Technology through enhanced module capacity and resulting energy efficiency.
