Central Package and Display Names New President

Mike Gallagher has been named President of Minneapolis, Minnesota based Central Package Display (CP&D). The announcement was made by company Chairman Jim Haglund.

Gallagher worked for twenty years with Taylor Corporation, a privately owned firm that is among the top ten graphics communications companies in the U.S. Most recently he served as President of Print Craft, a printing and folding carton unit of Taylor that, said Haglund, is “very similar in size to CP&D”.

In announcing the decision, Haglund said, “This is the culmination of many years of vacillation between selling the company and maintaining it as a privately-owned family business.”

“Mike’s decision to join us was like manna from heaven,” Haglund said. “We were looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, an MBA degree with an emphasis on accounting, experience in the industry and sharing the same principles as we do. Mike Gallagher fits the bill on all counts.”

“I’ve known Jim for several years and I’ve been impressed with the operations at Central. “ Gallagher said. “I’m excited to be a part of Jim Haglund’s legacy. I’m eager to see the company grow and excited about Central’s commitment to invest in its growth.”

“There will be changes, but we believe the changes will be positive and will ensure that CP&D will continue to be a privately held company with continued growth into the future,” Haglund said. Haglund also reported that Mike Haglund, his son, will be promoted to CEO and that daughter Kristin joined CP&D this January.
