CARON Hires Director of Service & Quality
(Marietta, OH, October 3, 2008) CARON Products announced that Jim Lang has joined the company as Director of Service & Quality, effective immediately. "We are delighted to have Jim on board and look forward to the positive impact we know he will make in strengthening our service and quality programs," said, Steve Keiser, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "Jim is not only exceptional with lab equipment technology, he's also highly customer focused, and a proven leader in process improvement techniques," said Keiser.
Lang brings extensive laboratory equipment experience in both service and quality to CARON, having been employed the past 31 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly Forma Scientific), in Marietta, Ohio. In his most recent position at Thermo, Lang was responsible for the quality assurance of the CO2 incubator product line. He also spent many years working in product development to insure quality and serviceability in the design of new products. Earlier in his career at Thermo, Lang worked as a service technician and a field sales representative assisting customers with a wide range of laboratory equipment.
In his new position, Jim will be responsible for establishing a nationwide service network to assist Caron with its rapidly growing customer base. Additionally, he will lead Caron's efforts to implement more extensive quality control techniques in manufacturing. Dave Figel, VP of Engineering & Operations, said, "Having previously worked with Jim for many years developing new products, I am very confident that adding his knowledge and skill set will further improve the quality and value of our product offering to customers."
