Carl Zeiss MicroImaging to Sponsor Video Format in the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE)

Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, a leading provider of microscopy solutions, announces that it will cover production costs for three laboratory protocols selected for publication in the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE). JoVE is a peer reviewed, PubMed indexed journal, which publishes research in a video format, including novel methods, innovative applications of existing techniques and gold standard protocols.
If selected for publication, JoVE's team will write the script, come to the lab to shoot the video and handle all post-production. Carl Zeiss will cover the $4,200 video production cost.

Carl Zeiss will sponsor three protocols from researchers in the US or Canada. Any unique protocol using a current Carl Zeiss product will be considered. The protocol does not have to focus solely on microscopy, but use of a microscope should be a critical element within the protocol.

To enter, researchers must create a protocol following the JoVE template and author guide. Submissions must be received by October 31, 2011 and should be emailed to micro@zeiss.com, using a subject line of JoVE Contest. Be sure to include a list of publications where this protocol has contributed to the results. All articles must pass peer review before they can move forward to production. Examples of successful protocols published by JoVE can be found on zeiss.com/jove. Winners will be notified by December 1, 2011. Please send questions about the process or the protocols to micro@zeiss.com.
