Carey Chen Joins Hypertherm Management Team as VP/CFO


Hanover, NH, USA -Hypertherm, Inc., has introduced Carey Chen as its new Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Chen joined the Management Team in
early September, replacing Mike Golden who recently retired.

With a solid background in corporate finance and strong educational credentials, Carey
Chen is well prepared for his challenging new role. He will be responsible for all financial and accounting activities at Hypertherm, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting and cash management. His position also gives him leadership responsibility for Financial, Treasury and Information Services.

Before joining Hypertherm, Mr. Chen was VP Finance at Wiremold/Legrand - a leader in
wire and cable management solutions headquartered in West Hartford, CT. Previously, he
served as VP & CFO for Bayliner Marine Corporation, a division of the Brunswick
Corporation. Mr. Chen also has extensive consulting experience with a focus on corporate strategy and development.

Carey Chen earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los
Angeles (UCLA). He received his Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the
University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
