Devicenet Support Now Available for Red Lion G3 Series of Operator Interfaces
YORK, PA - January 17, 2008 - Red Lion Controls, Inc. announces DeviceNet(TM) network support for the G3 series of operator interfaces. This HMI series already offers advanced communication and data management solutions. With the release of the G3DN DeviceNet option card, users can quickly add DeviceNet slave connectivity to any of the G3 units. The card is simply added to the expansion slot during installation and configured using Red Lion's free Crimson(TM) 2 software.
The complete series of G3 HMIs features a powerful multi-protocol converter combined with three serial ports and an Ethernet port as standard. The G3DN option card enables any connected devices to communicate with DeviceNet products to realize complete system integration and data transfer. In addition, the G3DN option card is isolated, protecting user equipment from potentially harmful ground loops.
