SPE Issues Call for Papers for Co-Located Conferences in China on Injection Molding and Medical Plastics



Two One-Day Events in December Will Be the First SPE Educational Programs in China



NEWTOWN, CT, U.S.A. – The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has issued calls for papers for two one-day topical conferences, or TOPCONs, to be held on sequential days in Shanghai this December, SPE announced today.



Both TOPCONs will take place at the Shanghai Marriott City Centre Hotel. Presentations will be in English. The conferences will be held on December 11 and 12, respectively, with a reception on the evening of December 11 providing opportunities for  networking among attendees from both events.



December 11, 2014: “Shaping the Future of Injection Molding through Game-Changing Innovation,” organized by the SPE Injection Molding Division. Topics may include but are not limited to Molding and Processing; Materials Developments; Part Design and Geometry; and Innovative Case Studies. Paper submissions or questions should be directed to David Kusuma at davidkusuma@tupperware.com or to Lih-Sheng (Tom) Turng at turng@engr.wisc.edu.



December 12, 2014: “Global Advances in Plastics for Medical Devices and Packaging,” organized by the SPE Medical Plastics Division. Topics may include but are not limited to Products (Medical, Biomedical, Drug-Delivery, and Single-Use); and Advanced Manufacturing. Paper submissions or questions should be directed to Harrison Yu at harrisonyu@comcast.net or to Ali Ashter at ashter@emdmillipore.com.



Author name, paper title, and 250-word abstract should be submitted by September 15, 2013; full paper, by October 15; PowerPoint® presentation, by December 1.
