Cabinet with Alarm/Strobe Protects Important AED Units While They Remain Clearly Visible

April 20, 2010 - In the event of an emergency, knowing where, and having access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can be a matter of life or death. When every second counts, an AED unit needs to be highly visible and accessible.

To help meet this need, STI's see-through polycarbonate cabinet offers excellent protection for AED units. This Protective Cabinet with Select-Alert alarm/strobe (STI-7535AED) allows the AED to be highly visible while it guards against theft and vandalism. Cabinet mounts on the wall and is secured with a thumb lock, permitting easy access. Because of the wall mount design, this cabinet does not require an additional sign to help direct one towards the AED during an emergency.

Alarm offers a choice of 32 unique alarm tones and independent strobe and siren timing. Timing choices are 15, 30, 60 seconds or continuous (as preset by user). The alarm and flashing LEDs help further deter vandalism and tampering, and does not interfere with legitimate use of the AED unit. Also the loud alarm can be used to help notify authorities in the area of the emergency.

Unlike competitor painted metal cabinets, this version offers safe, rounded corners, does not dent, eliminates worry of paint chips and has a high impact resistance.

The polycarbonate (which is constructed from the same material used in football helmets) is backed by a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use and one year on electro mechanical and electronic components. Adjustable wire shelf included. Additional sizes available.
