BTU's Fred Dimock to Present During NEPCON South China
NORTH BILLERICA, Mass.- BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the alternative energy and electronics manufacturing markets, announces that Fred Dimock will present at the upcoming NEPCON South China, at the Shenzhen SMTA Vendor Conference, which will take place from 10:30 a.m.-11:25 a.m. on August 30, 2012.
This presentation, titled "Practical Thermal Profile Expectations in a Dual-Lane, Dual-Speed Reflow Oven", describes considerations and advantages of dual-lane, dual-speed processing. Dual-lane reflow ovens have been used for years to increase production in a single reflow oven by allowing two boards to be run at the same time in parallel. Until recently, dual-lane processing has been limited to running identical or nearly identical boards in each of the lanes. However, the new BTU dual-lane reflow ovens with independent lane speeds now make it possible to run boards with larger differences, simultaneously.
Dimock is the manager of Process Technology at BTU International. His extensive experience in thermal processing includes positions at Corning, General Electric, and Sylvania. He has authored numerous articles on lead-free processing and process control.
