BSA Fall Meeting Looks at Pros and Cons of Social Networking

Glen Ellyn, IL - The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) has long been recognized as the expert in industry networking. Members and participating manufacturers include individuals at the highest corporate level throughout the bearing industry. Attendees at the 2009 Fall Meeting, September 21-22, at the Hilton Suites Chicago-Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois, are invited to take their networking skills to the next level with a presentation on the pros and cons of social networking and examples of how this media is being used.

The speaker will be Jeff Risley, VP/Public Relations & Social Media Analyst of the Barkley advertising agency, one of the leaders in helping clients tap the power of social networking to provide customer service, among other benefits. BSA Fall and
Winter Meeting attendees continually report that participation at these events leverages one of the most important benefits of BSA membership - accessibility in a casual setting with bearing industry leaders - making this the perfect setting in
which to discuss the current social networking trend which is impacting everything from customer service to job hunting.

Traditionally, BSA Fall and Winter Meetings offer the association's committees the opportunity to pursue their agendas without the distractions of broader programming at the BSA Annual Convention. BSA encourages members and participating manufacturers who are not currently committee members to attend the Fall Meeting and "try out" committees that interest them, as well as the BSA networking opportunity. In response to the economic challenges of today's marketplace, BSA has been able to negotiate particularly attractive room rates for the 2009 Fall Meeting.

Additional Fall Meeting information is available from the BSA website, www.bsahome.org or by calling the association at (630) 858-3838. Registration deadline is August 31.
