Glen Ellyn, IL—The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) builds relationships; they are not only the core of BSA, but the theme of the 2015 Annual Convention: Relationships Matter.  BSA’s 49th Annual Convention  will be held May 2-5 at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island in Amelia Island Florida.

The Annual Convention brings together the top leadership of only authorized bearing distributors and bearing manufacturers and offers unparalleled opportunities to grow successful relationships with trusted supply chain partners.  In doing so, the association fosters essential industry relationships and the opportunity to shape the future of the bearing industry. The business program will examine how relationships are the core to successful long-term partnerships. It will also consider some new technologies, their impact on how we go to market and the importance relationships have on successful implementation of new technologies.

• “Relationships Matter” Presentations will include:3D Printing - Separating the Myths from the Marketing- From 3D printed guns to 3D printed organs, 3D printing is dominating headlines while raising awareness and demand for manufacturing.  But, is this hype justified?  What are the hard questions the reporters aren't asking?  Join Bryce Pfanenstiel of FORGE 3D Printing, as he explains the current state of this technology and if it can save you time and money.

• Update on BSA Strategic Plan-  The August 2013 Stategic Planning Meeting resulted in four stategies: expand membership, enhance convention content and leverage member strengths in delivering content, develop brand stategy and increase participation.  This session will  review some of BSA on-going projects to address these initiatives such as  BSA Branding, BSA Training, HR Forum, and digitizing of BSA Photo Inventory.

• Teamwork: Power of Partnership- The Passing Zone is a comedy duo who not only work together - their safety is in each other's hands! Every moment of this presentation is a clear example of collaboration between two people who have prepared, and rely on each other's strengths, who communicate, trust, and have fun cooperating.

• Dynamics of Global Relationships- Presenters include Mr. Richard Kyle, President and CEO, The Timken Company; Mr. Masahide Matsubara, Director Executive Vice President, NSK Ltd.; Mr. Tom Johnstone, recently Retired President & CEO, SKF.  The planning committee invited three prominent industry leaders to talk about how relationships play a role today, tomorrow and in the future and identify keys to beneficial relationships and pitfalls.

• The Future of Distribution Panel- The panel will be moderated by Mr. Peter Negri, BSA Past President, CEO, Jamaica Bearings, Inc.  A frank discussion about the current state of distribution, current trends and notions for the future.
