Bring The Heat! A Thermal Month with 3M Wrap-Up

This week officially wraps up our Thermal Management month with 3M. Throughout the last several weeks, we have focused on how important Thermal Management is in the development of various electronic devices that need to control the amount of heat that is being produced by them.

As the demands on electrical components increase, 3M offers insulating and protecting products that are performance engineered to meet the most rigorous applications at temperatures ranging from sub-zero to more than 250 degrees C. These state of the art materials have been refined, tested and proven in a wide variety of applications.

Over the course of the month, SRP featured three different types of Thermal Management products including: 3M's Flame Barrier (FRB) series insulation paper, Thermally Conductive Adhesive Transfer Tapes, and Thermally Conductive Acrylic Interface Pads. Each of these materials have very specific benefits when it comes to controlling heat.

Thermal Management will continue to be an important aspect to the performance and efficiency of an end product, including use as a high temperature electrical insulation in transformers, motors and generators; as flame barriers in household appliances.

3M's long history of premium products is the reason our partnership has continued for over 40 years. As a Preferred Convertor for 3M, there are countless benefits and resources that accompany that privilege.  The assets we receive from 3M also benefit our customers directly in more ways than one.

No matter what the application is, SRP is here to help you find the best option for your end product. For additional reference, please visit our solutions page to find out what problems we have helped current customers solve in Thermal Management. 3M Thermal materials are commonly stocked in our facilities, and are converted in house on any given day. We would be happy to apply our knowledge and resources to your next project.
