Bluestar Silicones Presents Elastomeric Solutions at Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) West Show
EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. –Â Bluestar Silicones will showcase its silicone elastomer solutions for the healthcare and medical market at the upcoming Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West Conference (Booth #1547), February 10-13, in Anaheim, Calif.
Featuring High Performance LSRS
The company is broadening its high durometer liquid silicone rubber (LSR) portfolio, adding a 65 Shore A (ShA) hardness material to its high performance lineup. Silbione® LSR 4365 offers a middle ground solution between the exceptional physicals of Silbione LSR 4360 and Silbione LSR 4370, enabling product designers to optimize final part performance requirements.
Bluestar Silicones also will highlight its unique ultra-low durometer LSRs. The company now offers a 1 ShA material, Silbione® LSR 4301, which rounds out the company's 5 and 10 ShA low durometer LSR range, delivering exceptional high tear strength and elongation for soft cushioning and vibration dampening applications.
These specialty LSR products are manufactured in a clean room environment at Bluestar Silicones' new 226,000-sq-ft facility in York, S.C., and incorporate the distinctive advantages of Bluestar Silicones' standard LSR product line, including easy processing, easy release, and high-performance physical properties.
New RTV Additive Achieves Life-Like Feel
Bluestar Silicones is launching a new RTV additive, Silbione® FLESH 10 ADD, that when added to Silbione® RTVs, reduces shock and vibration and provides realistic flesh-like feel in prosthetic devices.
Elastomers for Medical Electronics
Bluestar Silicones is introducing its Bluesil™ ESA products for medical electronics. Available in a wide range of durometers, Bluesil™ ESA is a primerless system designed to bond to most plastics and metals. The product line offers excellent deep-section cure with no released by-products, excellent dielectric properties, thermal management and corrosion resistance.
