"BIO and its members commend Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-OR) and House Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) for introducing the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities Act of 2015. This carefully crafted bill will reauthorize Trade Promotion Authority, set the stage for the United States to complete important ongoing trade negotiations in Asia and Europe, and allow the United States to reclaim its traditional global trade leadership role.

“Trade agreements offer the most effective means to open markets and expand trade around the world for innovative biotechnology products, an area in which the United States has a competitive lead.
