Beckman Coulter Releases 2011 Cellular Analysis eCatalog on www.coulterflow.com

Dynamic Platform Simplifies Lab Management and Product Selection

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. - (January 11, 2011) - Beckman Coulter, Inc. announces the release of its 2011 Cellular Analysis eCatalog, which combines with www.coulterflow.com to provide a comprehensive, adaptable and eco-friendly resource that simplifies the reagent and instrument selection process and improves day-to-day management of a lab's experiments and needs.

This advanced interactive publication provides user-friendly search capabilities and is regularly updated with Beckman Coulter's latest product innovations in flow cytometry. Customized print-on-demand function for both clinical and research applications provides hard copy for user-specified sections.

"We've designed the eCatalog and web site to be 'virtual assistants' that help the scientist develop, plan and manage their experiments," said Brad Calvin, vice president of Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry. "Making a virtual catalog allowed for an environmentally friendly publication that provides customers with access to the dynamic resources offered by the web."

In addition to the Cellular Analysis eCatalog, www coulterflow.com offers scientists a range of interactive tools and custom software applications that facilitate organization and experiment design. Lab management tools include My Lab Workbench, which helps users create product lists, organize folders and add notes and references to experiments; Experiment Designer, which allows users to plot, compare and check the spectral compatibility of many fluorophores and to define and provide a written record of an experiment; and Tetramer Wizard, which facilitates the selection of Tetramers and iTopia products, as well as the creation of custom peptide sequences.

Interactive applications simplify the product selection process and include a tool for creating two-, three- or four-color conjugate configurations for use with an extensive line of human and mouse antibodies, and Spectrios, a tool that gathers data on the spectral information associated with fluorochromes that are commonly utilized in flow cytometry, allowing users to model the behavior of commonly used cytometers.
