BASF Scientist Elected ICRI Fellow


Fred Goodwin awarded position of Fellow of the International Concrete Repair Institute by Board of Directors

SHAKOPEE, MN, April 14, 2009 -- The International Concrete Repair Institute
(ICRI) has awarded Fred Goodwin the position of Fellow of ICRI. The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the concrete repair industry as well as significant and extensive contributions in support of the ICRI organization's mission. Goodwin will be recognized as a newly appointed Fellow during ICRI's Spring Convention later this month in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Goodwin is a Fellow Scientist for the Building Systems division of BASF Construction Chemicals and has over 30 years of industry experience. He frequently serves as a guest lecturer at trade and professional association events. He is a a primary author for ICRI and a contributing writer to several industry publications, an author for ASTM, and the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Goodwin is also listed as inventor on several US patents. A member of numerous industry associations, Goodwin is currently the chairman of the ICRI Materials and Methods the ACI 364 Rehabilitation committees, and the ASTM C09.68 Volume Change subcommittee.

To receive the ICRI fellowship designation, members of the organization can be nominated by five association members, a chapter, or by the Fellows Committee. All nominations are reviewed by the Fellows Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.
