BASF Names Michael McHenry as Vice President, Resins and Additives in North America


FLORHAM PARK, NJ, October 29, 2010 -- BASF has appointed Michael McHenry as Vice President, Resins and Additives, in North America. He will be based in Wyandotte, Michigan.

McHenry joined BASF in 2009 as part of the Ciba Corporation acquisition. He has served in a variety of leadership positions in the specialty chemicals markets, and has worked for BASF's Dispersions & Pigments business since April 2009.

Prior to joining BASF, McHenry served as President of the Ciba Specialty Chemicals Coating Effects Segment in North and South America responsible for sales, marketing, product management, technical service and supply chain activities for the specialty pigments and additives business.

BASF's Resins and Additives business is a leader in the manufacture, marketing and sales of resins, binders, crosslinkers, formulation additives and process chemicals, including polymers, light stabilizers and photo initiators utilized in Coatings and Printing & Packaging industries. These products are sold under the Joncryl®, Tinuvin®, and Irgacure® trademarks globally.
