Air & Waste Management Association to Hold Vapor Intrusion Conference in Denver Colorado



Pittsburgh, PA —The Air Waste Management Association (AWMA) will hold its Vapor Intrusion conference on October 3-4, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. This conference will discuss the latest developments and innovation in vapor intrusion (VI).



“The Vapor Intrusion Conference will help bring investigators and risk assessors one step closer to understanding and managing this growing indoor air quality problem,” said Robert Hall, A&WMA Executive Director.



This specialty conference will bring together internationally-recognized scientists, engineers, regulators, communications experts and attorneys with first-hand experience in the evaluation and remediation of Vapor Intrusion. It will cover the latest information in regulatory policy, sampling, analysis, and vapor intrusion (VI) pathway control, and the complex technical, legal, and public relations challenges posed by VI.



Prior to the conference four professional courses, designed to provide both a technical foundation and a timely refresher, will be offered on-site. The courses will be held on October 2, 2012. Course topics include: Sampling and Analysis Methods for Vapor Intrusion, Vapor Intrusion Pathway Modeling: Development and Application, Data Evaluation for Vapor Intrusion Studies, and Design Considerations for the Mitigation of Vapor Intrusion. Course fees are not included in the full conference registration price.
