Scheduled for October 21-23, 2013, 32nd IT3/HWC provides general forum for the discussion of state of the art information, regulations, and public policy on thermal treatment technologies and their relationship to air emissions, greenhouse gases, climate change, renewable energy or alternative energy production, and sustainability. Papers will address approaches to safely managing waste streams amenable to thermal treatment processes, and evaluate associated costs, risks, and impacts.

Call for Abstracts for 32nd International Conference on Thermal Treatment Technologies & Hazardous Waste Combustors



Pittsburgh, PA -- The Air & Waste Management Association has issued the Call for Abstracts for the 32nd International Conference on Thermal Treatment Technologies & Hazardous Waste Combustors (IT3/HWC), October 21 – October 23, 2013, in San Antonio, TX.



IT3/HWC, a thermal treatment conference, provides a forum for the discussion of state of the art technical information, regulations, and public policy on thermal treatment technologies and their relationship to air emissions, greenhouse gases, climate change, renewable energy or alternative energy production, and sustainability.



Abstracts of 250 words or less should be submitted to Carrie Hartz at chartz@awma.org. Invited and contributed papers will address approaches to safely managing waste streams amenable to thermal treatment processes, and evaluate associated costs, risks, and impacts. Practical applications of technical and scientific advances will be presented by international experts involved with thermal treatment technologies for the management of a broad range of institutional and industrial wastes. Specific papers and sessions will focus on waste to energy applications as well as the impact of thermal treatment technologies on greenhouse gas inventories and climate change, including how these impacts affect public perception and developing governmental policies.
