Air & Waste Management Association Issues Call for Abstracts for its 2010 Annual Conference & Exhibition

Pittsburgh, PA (September 29, 2009) - The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) has issued the call for abstracts for its 103rd Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE), to be held June 22-25, 2010 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The 2010 Annual Conference theme is "Energy and Environment," while the 2010 Critical Review will cover energy resources, greenhouse gas emissions, and economic development. Papers that are related to the conference theme or Critical Review topic are encouraged, but A&WMA welcomes original work on all environmental issues.

"Each year our Annual Conference & Exhibition brings together over 2,400 environmental professionals from all around the world to share information on the most current environmental topics and regulations," said Bob Hall, A&WMA's Interim Executive Director. "We anticipate that our 2010 technical program will be one of our most informative and expansive yet, and we encourage professionals and students from all parts of the environmental field to participate."

Abstracts are solicited on current issues, case studies, and practical experience, and will be evaluated for technical quality, relevance and significance to current environmental issues, and lack of commercialism. Principal areas of interest include air, environmental management, and resource conservation and waste management.

To view a complete list of proposed principal and topic areas, or to download the full Call for Abstracts, visit awma.org/ACE2010. To be considered for inclusion in the technical program, abstracts must be submitted by Dec. 4, 2009.
