AVT Completes Initial Production of Technology Based 'Pop N Go' Machines

CORONA, Calif., Feb. 8, 2011 - AVT, Inc. (formerly Automated Vending Technologies) (Pink Sheets: AVTC) (www.avtinconline.com) announced today that they have completed the initial production run of the new PC based hot-air Pop N Go self-serve popcorn maker and dispenser system, integrated with AVT's patent-pending Technology.
AVT was selected by Pop N Go to manufacture the machines, which includes their patent-pending TSV(TM) (Touch Screen Vending) and VendPerfect(TM) technology, that allows system owners and operators to receive real-time reports on the unit's transactions, cash and credit card payment details, and supply status.
Shannon Illingworth, AVT founder, commented on the Pop N Go contract. Never before have people been able to have freshly-made, theatre-style popcorn -- without the need for a microwave, in a free-standing self-serve machine."
Plans call for the distribution of over 1000 machines within the year. "We look forward to continuing production and anticipate that these units will receive wide consumer acceptance, as the demand for fresh and healthy snacks has skyrocketed," Illingworth added.
Initial placements include the WalMart Canadian corporate headquarters, major hospitals, shopping malls, and retail chains.
