Aven Introduces Portable zipScope, Other Products at MD&M West

ANN ARBOR, MI - A new hand-held digital microscope and two high-definition color VGA cameras are among 2011 product introductions by Aven, Inc. at an industry exposition in Anaheim, Calif.

The Michigan manufacturer of optical systems and test/measurement equipment is an exhibitor at the Medical Device & Manufacturing (MD&M) West event Feb. 8-10. These new instruments will be demonstrated at Booth 2977:
  • zipScope: Magnified, high-quality images and video can be captured and shared with a portable digital microscope available as a wireless model or with a USB connection.
  • Quick-Test Tweezers: Auto-scanning instrument makes it simple to identify loose SMD components or check circuits and devices mounted on a board.
  • Pen-Type Meter: Compact meter for inspecting printed circuit boards has a large LCD display, overload protection and low-battery indicator.
  • VGA high-definition cameras: Two space-saving color models have built-in SD cards and don't require a PC to view images. An industrial measurement and inspection camera includes a two-inch LCD screen, while the other model can be linked directly to a monitor.

"This annual gathering of technology suppliers is a good way to describe product advantages and learn more about customers' applications," says Mike Shahpurwala, president of Aven, a global distributor. "
